Past President: Marianne Tear, MS LVT

I am a graduate of the WCCD veterinary technology program with both my Bachelor’s and Masters in Biology from Wayne State University. I worked in emergency and critical care for many, many years before taking a teaching job at the WCCCD veterinary technology program. I am currently the Program Director for the Baker Clinton Township Veterinary Technology Program.
My husband Chris and I have many four-legged children; all rescues. I have Molly the pug, Zach the Shih Tzu, Gehrig (yes, after the baseball player) the Bull Mastiff mix, and Dewy and Morticia the two cats, two ponds full of “koi” and three separately housed Beta fish. My house is a zoo, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I am proud to be an LVT and a member of MAVT. I encourage all LVT’s to become active in their State and National organizations. Together we can positively impact the lives of our patients and their humans.
